From May 27 to 29, 2026, the professional team of Rosen International visited the “2026 BRICS New Industrial Revolution Exhibition”at Hall A3, Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center. With the theme “Authoritative Co-building, Oriented to BRICS, Connected to the World”, the event brought together government agencies, industry organizations, and leading enterprises from BRICS and “BRICS+” countries, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and industrial cooperation achievements. It serves as a key platform for supply chain alignment and policy coordination among BRICS nations.
Different from Traditional Metal Expos: Focusing on Cross-Border Policies and Market Access
The core value of this visit was not to gather general product information, but to gain first-hand insights into BRICS countries’tariff policies, technical standards, environmental certifications, and local supporting requirements for imported coated steel sheets. Rosen International proactively used this exhibition as a strategic move to systematically investigate entry barriers in emerging markets. Through exchanges with official agencies and industry associations from Brazil, Russia, India, and South Africa, we mapped out the differentiated needs and certification pathways for galvannealed steel (GA) in each country, clearing information gaps for future exports.
On-site Engagement: Validating GA’s Local Fit
Our team focused on meeting representatives from automotive parts, green building materials, and home appliance sectors. Feedback indicated strong local demand for high-corrosion‑resistant, formable, chromium-free coated steel sheets, yet domestic supply remains limited. Multiple buyers explicitly noted that galvannealed products offer clear advantages over ordinary galvanized steel in high-temperature resistance , welding electrode life, and stamping yield, and expressed willingness to cooperate on sample testing. This validates GA’s technical suitability and market opportunity in BRICS countries.
Differentiated Strengths: Serving Emerging Industrialization with Mature Solutions
Rosen International’s galvannealed products have been widely used in premium automotive outer panels and home appliance sheets in China, backed by mature production processes and quality control. Meanwhile, BRICS countries are in a phase of accelerated industrialization and consumption upgrading, with high import reliance for high-performance steel. Extending China’s proven GA supply system to BRICS markets can help local customers reduce supply chain costs and improve product quality. The company will prioritize chromium-free, lightweight solutions and first target Brazil, South Africa, and other regions with clear demand.
Next Steps: Focus on Certification and Trial Orders
The visit generated 8 qualified leads, including importers, distributors, and end-users. Our follow-up follows a clear roadmap: pre-qualification of technical documents → sample shipment → local testing → small trial orders → regular supply. We will initiate concrete cooperation with the two most closely matched customers as a priority, aiming to achieve the first export of galvannealed products to a BRICS country within 2026.
